So It's Friday

So it's Friday and I actually have the computer on.  I don't use the computer much these days, just my IPad anymore.  This time of year though I'm getting ready for NASCAR, yes I'm a fan!  I run a league and I'm getting all the teams input and ready to go.

I have also been in my craft studio a little bit, enough to make a huge mess again!!  I always seem to be looking for things that I know I have but can't find.  I did make my grandsons Valentine Day cards and got them mailed off to Michigan, even remembered to take a photo.

Here are the Valentine cards I made, one for Liam and one for Graisen.  I used red glitter paper, so there's a glare and I couldn't get a photo without it.

After I'm done cleaning up my mess yet again, I'm ready for St. Patrick's Day and Easter cards!

I almost forgot, I did finish a project and got to use some of my faucet knobs!!  It looks better in person than it does in the photo.  Put it right next to the window that I just love!!  lol

So back to working on projects and cleaning up my messes which is never ending for me.  Love it when people post pictures of their mess, makes me feel better about the messes I make when I'm making cards and projects.

Have a great weekend and I'll be back soon!!

Happy New Year (A bit late)

Happy New Year ( A bit late) to everyone and hope you all had a very happy holiday season!  My holidays consisted of lots of cookie baking and family and it was wonderful. This new year hoping to be a better blogger, but didn't make any resolutions.  I always try to make time to blog, but never seem to find the time and don't want to blog unless I have photos of things I've done to post.  I did make Christmas cards this last Christmas and it was the first time I've actually gotten to make anything for what seems forever.  They turned out nice and I made cards for the boys that turned out cute.  This last week Fun Stampers Journey had their Lead With Heart leadership convention and I wasn't able to attend, but a lovely lady, Kerry, made a group and had all kinds of activities for those who also couldn't attend.  It was so much fun and I was even able to make a couple of the projects!!  Everything for the 4 days was Vegas related (that's where the Lead With Heart convention was).

So this year I'm planning on crafting weekly, finishing started projects and just have more crafting fun. The Fun Stampers Journey convention is the beginning of June and I hope I'll be able to go, but not likely.  Who knows, maybe I'll be able to save enough money, stranger things have happened!!  lol

Here are Anthony's (my son) favorite cookies.  You can't tell, but that's a large container and it takes me all day to make these.  I didn't buy 2 more cookie sheets this year, so now I have 4 and it makes things go faster.

This is the Christmas card I made for the boys.  I totally forgot to take a picture, so I had Sara take a picture for me!!

I totally forgot to take a picture of the Christmas cards I made, but I had a couple that I didn't finish.  So here's a half done card.  lol

Here are a couple projects that I did for the We're Not In Vegas challenges.

Well it's good to be back and hopefully I'll be back with another post this weekend!!  Have a great rest of the week.

Happy Friday!!

Happy Friday!!  This week had been a busy week and it's only going to get worse the closer we get to the holidays!  Can you believe that Thanksgiving is this coming Thursday???  Where has the time gone, it's moving just to fast for me.

I haven't had time to do much with FSJ lately, I've been messing around with my Silhouette machine making Christmas presents for family and friends.  I'm also testing the PixScan Mobile for IOS and it's pretty cool.  I've had this PixScan mat for a over a year and just opened it, so I'm happy to be on the testing team for IOS.

Still loving FunStampersJourney though, wish I had more hours in a day!  We're offering an awesome hobby/designer kit for only $49.99 and you won't want to miss out!!  Go and check it out and let me know if you have any questions!!

Become part of my Amazing team!!

Hoping to be back sooner than a month, hopefully with photos of what I've been working on.  They are Christmas gifts, but I don't think that any of my family follows my blog.  lol

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Halloween??

I know it's not quite Halloween, but I did make Halloween cards for the kids.  I keep wanting to be a better blogger, but time gets away from me way too fast.  As usual I have way too many projects going at once, but I have started on my Christmas cards too.  My Halloween cards are sitting on my craft desk addressed and ready to mail on Monday (they've been ready to go for a couple of weeks).  I do love Fun Stampers Journey, it's an amazing company and the stamps and everything else are so fun.

Here is the Halloween card I made, I make them all pretty much the same just use different color eyes.  I love that you can stamp the image and then cut the image with a coordinating die cut, beats having to hand cut!  I still need to work on my photography skills though. lol

And before it's too late, you can join my team the month of October for only $99.99 and you also get the new Amaze machine!!  This is an awesome opportunity with an amazing company.  October is coming to an end soon, so don't wait!!  Look at everything you get in your kit.

Check out my Fun Stampers Journey Page Here or Email me at susiescraps2@gmail.com.

If you have questions just let me know, I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

FSJ Birthday Cards

Happy Monday!  September is busy for me, especially this year.  We had an 80th birthday party for my mom, Liam turned 4 (can't believe he's 4 already) and my sister-in-law's birthday is tomorrow.  I didn't make my sister-in-law a card, I already had one that I bought for her a couple years ago that I couldn't resist getting for her.  I love Fun Stampers Journey's stamps and inks, they're awesome to work with.

Here are the cards that I made for my mom and Liam.

My mom's card, she's a quilter and so it's a sewing themed card.   This stamp set is Homemade Happiness, FSJ #SS-0354.  It's a great stamp set for anyone that sews.

This is the card I made for Liam.  Need to find a tractor stamp though, hoping FSJ comes out with one soon!!  This is a darling stamp set, but it's a Bloom Benefit.  It's a set of 2 stamps, the image below plus OOPS, I did it again.  You can get the stamp set if you spend $50 and the die-cut that cuts out the image and the words if you spend another $50.  There are several Bloom Benefits that you can get with eligible orders of $50.  You can get Bloom Benefits for every $50 you spend!!  If your order is $100 you can get 2 Bloom Benefits, $150 order you can get 3 and so on.

I have more projects in the works, will post when I'm done.  Have a great week!!

OMG! Where Does The Time Go

I cant believe it's been over a month since my last post and I had such high hopes to be a better blogger!  Where does the time go, it always seems to get away from me.  I've been crafting, making cards and not one photo.  I made the boys St. Patrick's Day cards and Easter cards and didn't take any photos!  I've even been sewing lately, but it's a surprise what I'm making (you never know who reads my blog).  lol

All is well here, been through some medical issues with hubby lately, but everything turned out good in the end.  I have been trying to get crafty time in every day and it's kind of working out pretty good.  Even went with to the Sacramento Quilt, Craft & Sewing Festival on March 18th, it was so much fun.  I've been looking for an apron pattern and I found one there.  It's not exactly what I was looking for, but was good enough.  One of these days I will find the perfect pattern, I just know I will!!  lol

Hope you all had a very Happy Easter and I will be back soon, I promise!!

Busy Monday!

Mondays always seem to be busy, but I guess it's because I've been having busy weekends and so lots to do on Monday.  Made lots of goodies for the super bowl, but it was just us and hubby's 2 brothers.  You would have thought I had 50 people coming over.  lol

Today was a happy mail day, got my first Bloom Box and I am amazed at what was in the box and the quality and it was only $24.95!!  You should all check it out, you won't be sorry.

Below is the flyer for February's Bloom Box, I love the stamp set.  I haven't opened the card packs yet, but tomorrow is going to be a crafty day and hoping to have some actual pictures to share!  Check out the Bloom Box on my website at  http://www.funstampersjourney.com/Susie, I'm sure you'll fall in love too!!

It's a New Week!

Been very busy, but it's a new week and to me a new beginning!  I haven't gotten my Fun Stampers Journey kit as yet, but should be here by Wednesday and I'm very excited.  The $99 sign up has ended, but there's a Plus One promotion this month and if you're reading this you should check it out on my website at www.funstampersjourney.com/Susie .  Even though I haven't gotten my goodies yet I've been exploring everything and am impressed.

There's also a monthly Bloom Box for the card lovers out there.  Again, I'm waiting for mine, but have checked it out and it looks pretty awesome!!  Below is some information, I'm very excited and can't wait to get mine.  I'm not a monthly kit kind of person, but looks too good to pass up.

I've been with quite a few different companies, but I think this one is my favorite so far!!  I haven't been this excited in a long time.

I've pretty much got my craftroom back together, so I'm ready for all my new goodies and ready to create.  I've been trying to get some projects caught up and working on my window that I can't wait to finish.  I've wanted an old window for so long and finally found one that was affordable, I will post photos when it's done.  It's nice to get my hands dirty again (or all gluie).  I am so behind on everything and it's wonderful to get going on it again.

See you again in a few days, hopefully with photos of all my new goodies!!

I Always Have Good Intentions!

I always have good intentions but life always seems to get in the way.  A few days after my last post we found out that my husband had colon cancer.  He had surgery within a couple of days and then did 6 months of chemo.  The chemo lasted a few weeks longer due to blood counts or way to sick.  Things are starting to get back to normal now, hubby is getting stronger every day.  We even took a trip to Michigan to visit our grandsons!!

Now that life is starting to get back to normal, I can now get back to crafting!!!  I've tried to do a few things these past months, but it's been pretty much impossible to do anything when hubby depended on me for everything.  I have so many things I want to do, but Christmas cards are going to be first.  I feel like a little kid, excited to get started!  I won't be able to start until Monday, need to clean the house and finish decorating (what little I do decorate).  I did decorate my little wooden tree and put out a few things already, but still need a couple more things.  With dog tails I can't really put too much stuff out unless it's high enough their tails can't knock it off.

This is a picture of my hubby's last chemo and of course the boys (with Santa).

I will be back soon and will have pictures of what I've been doing!!

Happy Friday!

You gotta love Fridays, even when you don't work Fridays are awesome!  Been busy as always and that's always a good thing.  Finally even got rain today and it's supposed to rain until Monday.  Could do without the wind, but I guess you can't have everything.  We really need the rain here in California and we may get up to 6 inches by Sunday, hoping we don't float or blow away (winds up to 65 mile an hour)!!

Been crafting, I actually got the 2 grandsons valentine cards done!!  They're kind of cute and as usual I was in a rush because I need to mail them so they're not late.  Of course while I was looking for valentine stuff (embellishments, paper, stamps, etc.), I was finding all kinds of lost treasures that I forgot I had and now want to play with.

See, I've been crafting.  You can always tell when I'm creating because I can't create without making a total mess and dragging tons of everything out in case I need it.

Yes, I use jars for everything and 2 of them have candy!!

Here are the valentine cards I made for Liam and Graisen.  I don't think they know my blog address and I don't believe their mother follows it either, so I can post them without spoiling the surprise.

This one is for Liam - Paper, stamps and chipboard frame are Close To My Heart.

This one is for Graisen

Have my tables and desk cleaned up already and am going to create/play all weekend.  It's been a long time since I've been able to spend the whole weekend in my studio and am so looking forward to it.  I'm even thinking about getting into a couple of challenges and I never do them!!

So have a great weekend and hoping to post more finished projects this weekend!!

Gone Too Long!

Time get away from everyone and I'm no exception.  It's been way too long since I've made a post, but things are looking up and I plan on spending more time crafting and less time messing around with everything else in my life.  LOL

My craft studio is better, but still a mess.  I'm Like everyone else and when you start reorganizing things you end up finding forgotten treasures and have to play a little.  I did leave my favorite items that I came across out and plan on getting down to business on Wednesday while hubby is out for the day.

Jake our new puppy has gotten big.  He got fixed last week and weighed 47 pounds!!  He is a pretty good little guy and so loving and cuddly, which is why I picked him.  Don't have a recent photo because he can't sit still long enough to get one without being a blur running by!

Millie and Jake on the new bed my mom gave them because her dogs didn't like it.  They're about the same size now, so Jake may end up being huge!

Graisen turned 1 in January and his 1 year photos turned out so cute and I couldn't pick just one to be my favorite (85 photos and they were all adorable).  So here are a couple of my very favorites.  lol

So I am planning on doing another post on Thursday, but if not that means I didn't get to get all crafty on Wednesday and that would be a horrible thing!  lol

It's Looking Like Christmas!

This time of the year is so busy for everyone between decorating, baking, shopping and for those of us that make gifts and cards.  As usual I'm behind!  I thought I was done making gifts but ran into problems when putting them all together, so it will take me a few more days to get them done.  Haven't started on my cards either and hoping I'll be able to get them done, but if not I have a box of back up cards.  lol

Did get some decorating done and decided on my silly wood tree again.  I thought it was cute last year and with the puppy decided to decorate it again.

Here is our Christmas tree -

My hubby has been busy too with his Santa's Village and it turned out cute this year.  Here are a couple photos, looks like John Wayne is looking over the village  -

And here is a little cutie decorating his own tree back in Michigan -

And not so Christmas related, this is Jake's latest, got himself stuck and needed rescuing.  Guess he climbed up the wood pile and onto the table, but too scared to jump down.  Needless to say I moved the table.

Well wish me luck on getting everything done before Christmas and be back soon!!

Work - Work - Work!

It's that time of the year, always so much to do and so little time.  Trying to finish up Christmas gifts and cards and time just flies by!  It always gets done, but always seems to be that I'm under pressure.  I'm not one of those fast crafters, I'm a slow poke because I'm a perfectionist (I'm my own worst critic).  I'm too old to change so I just give myself extra time to get things done.

There's been a lot going on these last few weeks.  First of all we got a new puppy (told myself I didn't need another dog), his name is Jake.  So far he seems to be a good puppy, only one accident in the house and that's a big plus.  He does keep Millie on her toes and they get along so good and I was afraid she wouldn't like him at all.

This is Jake.  He's a black lab/border collie mix.  My hubby has been splitting wood and he just loves rolling around in the sawdust and it's everywhere!

Onto my craftroom and new cabinet, I just love it!!!  A few of the drawers stick, but I'm sure they'll work themselves out.  I don't have a lot in it yet and not sure it's in the right spot yet, but as always with me, it's a work in progress.  Still going through all my 'stuff' and decided to open a Facebook page to sell things.  Also going to put it on the local garage sale site and see what happens.

The cabinet didn't photograph well, that side of my room is dark and I couldn't seem to take a photo without my shadow in it.  I did do my best, but had to use odd angels!  lol

There are 2 different size drawers, 24 total and the drop down door that I'm using for paper storage right now, but that may change to.

Seems a bit crowed and not sure what to move or actually where to put what I do decide to move.   I'm sure I will work it out and it's always fun moving things around (NOT)!!  The wheels work great and it's a good thing, this sucker weighs a ton empty.

Wonderful drawers and drop down door.

I hope everyone has a great rest of the week and I need to get back to everything I've got going on!!

Dreary Monday!

It's a dreary Monday, but am hoping for rain, the drought is awful!  I am praying that there's more rain coming than they're anticipating today and that there's more down the line.

Hubby and his brother went to a ranch sale on Saturday and bought me a couple surprises.  One is an old chest but I don't have a photo of it yet, not sure where hubby put it.  It needs bit of work, but it's really cool and is going to be beautiful hopefully when we're done with it.

The other item they bought me was an old tool chest that's heavier than a son of a gun.  It also needs some work but mostly cosmetic.  Hubby is cleaning it up and then it will get painted.  I'm probably going to leave it red and black but it looks like it was originally green.  It was probably from one of the Air Force Bases in the area we figure.  I took a couple of pictures this morning but they don't show how cool it is.  I didn't think to take any pictures before we took all the drawers out and put the cabinet on the table to clean it up.  Looks like it was in a barn or shed for years and if full of cobwebs and one hornets nest.  lol

This is the cabinet on top of the workbench.  Went out yesterday and got some wheels for it and I can hear hubby outside working on it!!  lol

Here are some of the drawers ready to be cleaned up and painted.  There are 24 drawers total in 2 different sizes.  Can't wait for it to be done and put it in my scrap room and fill the sucker up!!

Have a great Monday and will continue to take pictures of the progress and keep your fingers crossed for a good rain.

What's Happening These Days!

Time just seems to get away from me lately, so much going on this time of the year.  Kids are going back to school, but I don't have any kids left at home.  I am getting ready for the holidays, my favorite time of the year is just around the corner, FALL!!  Halloween is big at my house, hubby loves to decorate the whole front yard and add new things every year.   I'm getting ready for Christmas already, making gifts and cards.  I'm still working on my Open House, launch of my Close To My Heart business and it's so exciting to think about and will be in about 3 weeks!!

As always, still trying to put my craft room together and always seem to mess it up BIG.  I've come to the conclusion that if I'm not making a huge mess I'm not doing anything.

Got all my goodies together and ready to create!

Even my desk is fairly cleaned off for now and is ready for me to get busy!

If you haven't checked out the new catalog from Close To My Heart just go to my website and thumb through it.  There are tons of new stamps, papers and embellishments!!  This month is National Stamping Month and if you spend $30.00 you get the #30 Years of Happy stamp set for free!!!

So stay tuned for sneak peaks and more details on my Open House and if you're interested in a catalog just let me know.

Tuesday is Here - Time is Flying By

It's Tuesday, the end of August is almost here and I just can't believe how time is just flying by.  I've been on an everything break, trying to get life sorted out and priorities in order.  I am also on a Design Team break for a while too, but I think it may be for a long while, we will see what happens there.  Pinque Peacock is awesome and miss the girls, but feel the need to focus on my own projects for now.

Did go visit the grandsons and had a great time, but again, got sick when we got home.  Have been working on my craft studio and have it pretty much done, but have tons of stuff I want to sell and still wondering the best way to do it (group on FB, Ebay, ect.) and will figure it out in time.  Would rather not have to deal with shipping and will probably just bite the bullet and do it.

My desk and tables are clean enough to create now and just need to pick a project to do.

I am getting stuff ready for my long past due Close To My Heart Open House.  I've already gotten new catalogs, new stamps and lots of goodies!!  Making some samples and getting a make-n-take together and am getting closer to setting a date so stayed tuned for more information!!!  I am over the moon excited!!!  I do have a button on the right, just click away!!!

So that's it for today and am getting back into a regular routine of posting again, so stayed tuned in!!

USA Baby!

It's my turn on the Pinque Peacock blog and so for my post today I've done a layout using a photo of my grandson Graisen.  I've got tons of photos of both boys, just need to make time to do albums for each of them.  I looked around on my table to see what I had out and I had been working on patriotic stuff and so that's what I went with.  I didn't have the time to clean up and didn't want to get more stuff out, so patriot layout it is.  I looked through photos and saw the outfit Graisen was wearing and thought it would be perfect with what I had spread out on the table and in the box of goodies that was out.

I used the small Layered Garden Beauties from Pinque Peacock and the Metal Stars are also from the Pinque Peacock shop.

Here is my USA Baby layout.

This is a close-up of the Layered Garden Beauties, they're really pretty!!

Here is a close-up of the Metal Stars, love them!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you enjoyed my layout!
