 photo TistheSeasonBadge2_zps261e4af7.jpg

We hope you will enjoy your time as you hop and that you feel
inspired to create after visiting the Talented Pinquettes' Blogs!
This hop will showcase projects that have been created using some of the
NEW Holiday Inspired Products from Pinque Peacock.

We are thrilled to have you joining us this month!

So for the "Tis The Season" Blog Hop I decided to go completely out of the box and used my little wood tree as our Christmas tree this season.  It's not just a project tree, it's actually our Christmas tree!!

I used lots of Pinque Peacock items, not just the new Holiday Products.  First off I used one of the Large Layered Garden Beauties to decorate the wooden star.  My photos didn't come out too well, lots of shadows, but I wanted the tree to be lit.

Now here are a couple of the new Holiday Products, a Large Fabric Covered Button (polka dot) and one of the Small Layered Garden Beauties (white and blue).  You will also notice some Felt Poppers with Fabric Covered Buttons in the center and a Corduroy Fabric Splendid Swirl.

Here is our silly wooden Christmas Tree, I just love it.  It's not traditional, but hubby wanted to put up his village this year and our living room is just too small for a tree and a village!  My hubby did make the tree for me a few year ago using scrap wood, a Pinterest idea.  I decided it would be cute all decorated up and found the star somewhere, painted it yellow and drew the stitches around it.

Again, sorry for the shadows, but it's not as pretty without the lights on!

This release is showcasing some NEW products as well as some products that have been available in the shop for a while. This is a great way to see the Pinque Peacock Products in action and to get your creative imaginations in "Full Speed Ahead" mode!

It's a Merry Christmas Card!

I am such a sucker for any holiday, but especially Christmas.  It's been a few years since I've been able to decorate, bake, do cards or anything, so I'm trying to make an extra effort this season.  I've been playing around with different papers, embellishments and Silhouette files trying to find just the right combination of colors and goodies.

Here is one of the many, many cards I've made.  I used the lovely burlap covered buttons, they're so fun to work with!  I fell in love with The Paper Studio Classic Christmas paper stack and thought it would be perfect for cards.

Here is a close-up of the burlap button and the wrinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl Jam (check her out)!

The Merry Christmas Card!

Have a great day and see you at the blog hop starting on the 13th!

Checking In!

It's been a while since I've done a post and figured today would be a good day to do one.  Been busy getting ready for the holidays, so this is a nice break.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my son Anthony and his orphan friends.  He has an orphan Thanksgiving every year for all his friends that have no where to go.  He always invites us, but this is the first year we've gone and it was a lot of fun.  He ended up with mono and I ended up doing most of the cooking, but it was still fun.  He had made all the pies and cranberry sauce the day before.

I only ended up taking 1 picture all day and it was of Bailey, Anthony's dog 'playing' with a stuffed toy.  She plays with stuffed toys like my dogs do!!

Richard hasn't been able to put up his village in quite a few years and decided that this was the year, so here are a few pictures of his village.  He put it up over a week before Thanksgiving, he was chomping at the bit to get it all done!  lol

All of his villages are from Costco and he has like 8-10 of them.  He can't put up all of them, so he picks his favorite pieces from each one and uses those.

Well that's all I've got for now, but see you on the 9th for my Pinque Peacock post and please join us for the 'Tis The Season' Blog Hop starting on the 13th!

Fun Friday!

Well Happy Friday and  Scrappy Pinquette is in the house and I have the honor of posting today on the Pinque Peacock Blog.  Not only do I love Fridays, but I love October and all spookyness of it.  So for my project today I made a card and it's pretty much out of my wheel house to make a card, but thought it would be fun.

For my card I used an orange Fabric Covered Button and they're always fun!

I still had a lot of Halloween stuff out from other projects I'd made and have been working on.  So here is the complete card and of course nothing is complete without a little bling, right?

Thank you so much for stopping by and if you're not already a follower you can do so before you leave!

For my project I decided to use the Halloween kit I got from Vintage Street Market that I received a few weeks ago and fell in love with.  Halloween is one of hubby's favorite holidays and he always decorates big on the outside and thought this would be a fun addition to the inside.

I used lots of goodies on this and had fun making it!

Here is the finished project, it's an old slide projector tray filled with fun tags!

Here is a close-up of all the tags and check out all the new Pinque Peacock items I got to use!!

Here are all the tags (so far).  They're really fun to make and may end up making more and adding to the display!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and your next stop is the fabulous Miranda!!

Altered Journal

Yippee!! It's my turn again to be the poster on the Pinque Peacock Blog!  I did have to clear off a spot on my desk in order to alter my journal, but I did get it done, but made another mess in the process though.

My craft table and desk as it looks right now, although today I will hopefully get time to tackle my mess!!

This is just a corner of the 6 ft. table

Aftermath on my desk and yes, there's even 'stuff' under the desk!!

My favorite thing to do is alter anything and everything in sight, but journals and mini-albums are my very favorite.  This is a pretty simple altered journal because time wasn't on my side.

I used one of my favorite Fabric Covered Buttons and Angel Stick Pin from Pinque Peacock.  The paper I used was from the Stampin' Up Clementine collection.   The brown ribbon is also Stampin' Up.  Not sure where I got the lace and the bling, pulled it out of my stash!  The papers aren't showing up their true colors, not sure why though.  lol  I love burlap and just love the burlap flower from Canvas Corp.

Here is a close-up of the Fabric Covered Button and Stick Pin.

Here is the altered journal, can't wait to fill it up with ideas!   I did add mini crystal randomly to the centers of  the printed paper on the right, but they're not showing up in the photo.

Retro Card Box!

Happy Hump Day (just love that commercial with the camel)!!  lol

Not sure if my Card Box is actually Retro, but it reminds me of the 70's and I consider that Retro!!  I have a ton of this We R Memory Keepers paper and decided to use some of it up with this project.  This is a Stampin' Up card box and it needed 5 sheets of paper to cover it and figured I may as well use this paper.  I did love it when I bought it, but did I really need 25 sheets of it??

I used the Pinque Peacock Fabric Covered Button and one of the beautiful stick-pins.  Here is a close-up shot and I did add bling to the center of the Fabric Covered Button.

Here is a photo of the completed box and can't wait to fill it up with cards!

Time Just Flies By!

It's been a while since I did a post, so thought I would pop in and say Hello!  I have been basically unplugged for the month of August and never thought that would be possible.  I have been on my IPad on and off, but that's about it.

We did take a 2 week trip to Spokane to visit Sara, Adam and of course Liam!!  It was a great trip and got to spend lots of quality time with Liam (he's 11 months old today).  Also got to see their new home and it's beautiful.  They actually live in Mead, the outskirts of Spokane.  I had never been to area before, so it was fun being a tourist while the kids were working.

So here are a few pictures from out trip and am back on schedule now to post and better yet, to get all crafty!!

Grandpop reading Liam a story -

Grandmom playing with the wiggly Liam,  This is actually me unplugged too (no make-up, hair not done)!!  Look how long may hair is too, 8 months of growth from being shaved.  I do need to get it trimmed or shaped or something now though.  hehehe

Sara and Liam playing on the lawn.  Did I mention that grandbaby #2 is on board?

Liam is our pride and joy and can't wait to meet the new baby the first of January.  They're not finding out again if it's a boy or girl, but we don't care as long as it's healthy!!

We still get daily pictures of him and this is today's picture helping wash the car or should I say playing in Cody's water bowls while daddy washes the car.
