Angel Wings

For today's project I've decided to make a canvas using one of the Julie Nutting doll stamps.  I watched an online class last week and just loved the canvas that she made and was totally inspired.  Mine of course looks nothing like hers, but I made it my own.  lol

I love the Pinque Peacock covered buttons and the ones I used are my favorite.  I did ink them with Distress Ink, Tattered Rose, but I hated to do it because they're so pretty as is.

Most of the products that I used are from the Prima Romance Novel collection.  The bow is of course 3 Girl Jam crinkle ribbon, Sweet Cream.

I did have a lot of fun creating this, painting the canvas I had in my stash, tearing paper for the background, inking them all and then placing them on the canvas with Modge Podge.  I stamped the doll and wings on one of the tags that were made for these stamps and then dressing the doll up.  I used Cinnamon Stickles for the dots on the wings and on the 3 of the corners.

Here she is, my Angel Wings!

These are the beautiful Pinque Peacock fabric covered buttons that I inked.

And here is a close-up view of the bow using the 3 Girl Jam crinkle ribbon.  This Sweet Cream is so pretty!!

Thank you so much for coming by and checking out my latest creation!  Please become a follower if you are not already and I do love comments!!

Pinque Peacock June New Release Blog Hop!!

~~~~ Click HERE for the 300 Blog Follower Giveaway ~~~~
(still need quite a few - SPREAD THE WORD)
**********************************************
Hello to all of our Pretty Little Peacocks
Welcome to Pinque Peacock’s
JUNE New Release
"PATRIOTIC"
BLOG HOP DAY #2
 WELCOME TO DAY #2 OF OUR BLOG HOP...
Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you enjoyed Day 1 of the Blog Hop and if you didn't get a chance to check it out it's not too late.  All 3 days of the blog hop links are below and if you get lost you can go to the Pinque Peacock Blog and start from the beginning!
I am loving the Patriotic, 'Red, White & Blue" theme, even though I was so not ready.  I had all the patriotic stuff I could think of laying out on my tables and nothing!!  My mojo has totally left me and everything I did was junk.  I even wasted paper and I never waste paper!!!!!!!  So laying out on my desk were the new Prima Julie Nutting Doll Stamps and tags that I just got with the gift certificate I won on NSD.  So I thought I'll make a tag and use my new stuff!  Out come my Copic Markers, stamp pads and get to work.  OMG!!  It looked like a toddler colored it and so I did another one, not much better.  So now out come my watercolor pencils.  NOT!!  Did not work out well at all.  Now it was either colored pencils or crayons.  Colored pencils worked out best (didn't try the crayons).  By now my table and desk are a mess and I can't find anything, so I'm totally frustrated.  I did manage to finish the tag, but still need to make another one!!
Here is a close up of the new Pinque Peacock Patriotic 'RedWhite & Blue' items.  The stick pin is so pretty and just love the fabric splendid swirl!
Another close up, but a little further away!  lol
Here is the whole 'child like' tag.  I did glue little gems to the dress and went through buttons and found the firecrackers and fireworks.  The other items I have no idea where they came from.  The blue stars are confetti that I also glued on.
Next stop on the hop is the wonderful and talented Robin!
We hope you will enjoy your time as you hop and that you feel inspired to create after visiting the Talented Pinquettes' Blogs! This hop will showcase projects that have been created using some of the JUNE NEW RELEASE Products from Pinque Peacock.
Catch Up Wednesday!
Seems I am always behind, so here's a Catch Up Wednesday layout.  If you're like me I always look forward to the Olympics and when I heard that the Olympic train was coming through town I was so excited!!  It was in January of 2002, so that's why the 'catch up'.  It did go by rather quickly and was hard to take really good pictures, but this one came out pretty good.
Here is the layout I made to honor Olympic Torch Train.
Still trying to use up 'stuff' I have.  The Pinque Peacock Ribbon Flower and Stick Pin are so pretty and add that certain something to the layout.  Most of the other items are from SIAS, a direct sales scrapbooking company that is no longer in business.  lol
Here is a closer view of the Pinque Peacock Ribbon Flower and Stick Pin.
And here is a closer view of the picture of the Olympic Torch Train.
Thank you so much for stopping by and if you're not already a follower of my blog, please take the time and become my newest follower!!
